Coordinate venue rentals for YWCA Toronto in downtown Toronto, managing bookings, event planning, customer service, and AV/IT support.
This full-time contract position manages the Association's Venue Rentals program at Elm Centre. You will coordinate internal and external bookings, plan events with customers, and support revenue-generating operations. The work includes financial management, marketing and sales strategy, customer communications, and event troubleshooting. You will also supervise relief event support staff and provide on-call coverage during evening and weekend rentals. The contract runs from November 9, 2026, through June 15, 2027, for 35 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookings for Elm Centre rental spaces
- Plan customer events, spaces, AV/IT, and catering
- Resolve rental issues and customer complaints diplomatically
- Develop marketing and sales strategies for revenue targets
- Schedule relief staff and attend budget meetings
Requirements:
- Community college diploma in a related discipline
- Three to five years' event planning or rental coordination experience
- AV/IT setup, troubleshooting, and basic IT skills
- Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and database experience
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
