The SHYM 1 Program Coordinator plans and facilitates programming for young mothers and their children. Activities include parenting, life skills, healthy relationships, recreation, financial literacy, and wellness. You will coordinate guest facilitators, prepare meals, maintain records, and connect residents with resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop inclusive program calendars for young mothers and children
- Facilitate workshops, recreation, wellness, and healthy relationship activities
- Coordinate community partners and guest facilitators
- Prepare, serve, and clean up nutritious group meals
- Maintain attendance, evaluations, outcomes, and daily logs
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent relevant experience
- Two years' program coordination or group facilitation experience
- Trauma-informed, harm reduction, and strength-based understanding
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Current First Aid/CPR and required background checks
