Responsibilities
- Responsible to cut meat in compliance with the store's cutting standards
- Responsible to receive meat and check invoices ensuring quantity is accurate and quality of product meets with store standards
- Ensure all meat is stored on trays in an orderly fashion in preparation for wrapping
- Must wrap and price meat as required
- Adhere to strict cleaning schedule ensuring a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Must follow the store safety procedures at all times
- Promote and support superior customer relations in a professional manner, as well as with staff and management
- Responsible for scanning out product to control shrink factors
- Adhere to company standards and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience cutting meat
- Extensive knowledge of the Meat Department and ability to cut meat according to store standards
- Ability to stand for length of the shift (up to 8 hours), and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer and employee relations
- Ability and commitment to work as a member of a team and support the execution of team goals
- Ability to promote productivity
