Support proactive safety across GTA operations as a Health and Safety Advisor, using inspections, training, and regulatory compliance expertise in a hybrid workplace.
YORK1 seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to partner with divisional operations and Safety Teammates. The role focuses on incident prevention, accountability, and employee health and safety. You will update documentation, investigate incidents, advise management, and support audits, training, and safety programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety compliance through training, policies, and documentation updates
- Inspect workplaces, job sites, equipment, and work practices
- Assist investigations by identifying root causes, trends, and prevention
- Advise management and employee groups on occupational safety issues
- Maintain training records and report metrics and KPIs
Requirements:
- Post-secondary health and safety education or equivalent experience
- Valid CRSP designation or progress toward designation
- Three or more years in a similar role
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel approximately 50% to sites and meetings
