YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD seeks a permanent Lunchtime Supervisor for a ten-month assignment. You will monitor students indoors and outdoors, promote positive interactions, and help maintain a safe, caring, positive, and friendly environment. Experience with children and the ability to monitor multiple activities are important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students indoors and outdoors during lunch breaks
- Monitor behavior and encourage respect, kindness, and inclusivity
- Report misconduct, concerns, and atypical situations promptly
- Support appropriate play and identify out-of-bounds areas
- Assist during emergencies, training sessions, and staff meetings
Requirements:
- Less than high school graduation plus additional training or education
- Minimum one month of required experience
- Good communication skills and a positive demeanor
- Ability to respect school confidentiality requirements
- Experience working with children and attending to physical needs
