Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling, sealants, and polishing teeth.
• Assess patients’ oral health and document finding in the patient management system.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
• Assist the dentist during procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Must be registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
• Maintains a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene procedures including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
• Conduct oral health assessments and provide patients with simple terms with oral hygiene techniques.
• Take dental X-rays as needed.
• Upkeeping both the laboratory and operatory environments
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
