YMCA BC seeks a permanent, part-time School Age Leader for its before and after school program. This position supports children with diverse needs through child-centred programming, positive behaviour guidance, and individualized support. You will collaborate with staff, families, schools, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities
- Deliver developmentally appropriate programs aligned with standards
- Support positive behaviour and guide conflict resolution
- Build respectful relationships with children and families
- Maintain clean, safe, welcoming program spaces
Requirements:
- Confidence planning inclusive activities for children
- Experience supporting children with diverse needs
- Understanding of whole child and youth development
- Ability to prepare snacks and support upkeep
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
