Support children's development at YMCA Chetwynd Care and Learning Centre through creative programming, active supervision, and family communication. This temporary full-time position works Monday to Friday rotating shifts.
As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant or Early Childhood Educator, you will provide quality care within a safe, engaging environment. You will follow the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, build relationships with children and families, and collaborate with educators. The position runs 40 hours weekly through May 4, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care and creative programming for children
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Create supportive, safe environments with your team
- Deliver age-appropriate YMCA Playing to Learn programs
- Communicate daily updates through Weemarkable
Requirements:
- Basic ECEA or ECE certification recognized in British Columbia
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Emergency First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certification within 30 days
- Three satisfactory references
- Current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record check
