Role Description
The Mortgage Broker at Xperto is a full-time, hybrid role based in Laval, QC, with flexibility to work from home for part of the week.
In this position, the broker will advise clients on mortgage options, assess financial situations, and recommend suitable mortgage products and debt consolidation strategies.
Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, gathering and analyzing financial documents, submitting applications to lenders, and negotiating terms to secure favorable mortgage solutions.
The role also involves developing referral relationships, supporting mortgage marketing initiatives, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
The Mortgage Broker is expected to provide high-quality, responsive service, ensuring a positive client experience throughout the mortgage process.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in mortgage brokerage, including experience as a Mortgage Broker and knowledge of Brokerage practices.
- Solid understanding of Finance, including mortgage loan structures, interest rates, and debt consolidation strategies.
- Ability to support Mortgage Marketing activities, including client outreach, relationship building, and promoting mortgage products.
- Relevant provincial licensing or certification to practice as a Mortgage Broker in Québec (or eligibility to obtain it).
- Proven experience working with clients to assess needs, explain complex financial concepts, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service and ethical practices.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, lender portals, and standard office software; ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Fluency in French and English is an asset, given the client base in Laval and surrounding areas.
