The Opportunity

XNRGY Climate Systems is a rapidly growing leader in data center cooling solutions. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to support the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) products and related air-side cooling solutions. Based in Montreal, this role will lead mechanical engineering activities from concept through production release while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and suppliers. The successful candidate will be a self-driven engineer who can work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while delivering reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective product solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support gated NPI (New Product Introduction) processes from concept through production release.
  • Create, review, and approve 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Develop solutions that meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost targets.
  • Support product standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a technical reference for product design, manufacturing methods, and product architecture.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to designers and junior engineers.
  • Lead engineering activities independently and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Collaborate with sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure successful product implementation.

Manufacturing Support

  • Support prototype, ECS, and production builds.
  • Resolve product, assembly, manufacturing, and field issues through structured root cause analysis.
