Shape Xero’s payments risk strategy through merchant eligibility and transaction fraud decisioning. Build secure payment experiences with minimal unnecessary customer friction. As Lead Product Manager, you’ll own strategy and execution across merchant and transaction risk. You’ll develop capabilities spanning KYB/KYC, underwriting, monitoring, fraud detection, disputes, reserves, holds, and payout risk. This Product Management role partners with Risk, Compliance, Engineering, Data, and Operations to turn policy into scalable products. Key Responsibilities:
Own merchant and transaction risk product strategy and roadmap Build underwriting, segmentation, monitoring, and exposure management capabilities Develop fraud detection, decisioning, rules, signals, scoring, and limits Create controls for disputes, chargebacks, reserves, holds, and payout risk Establish risk metrics and improve decision quality and loss performance Requirements:
Deep hands-on payments risk product experience Product Management experience across merchant and transaction risk Significant experience in complex payments or fintech environments Strong analytical skills using fraud, transaction, and loss data Experience partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Risk, Compliance, and Operations Bring payments risk product leadership, analytical judgment, and decisioning expertise to Xero’s merchant and transaction platforms.
