Lead WSP’s Geotechnical Engineering practice across the Prairies and North through technical excellence, business growth, and people leadership. As Director, Geotechnical Engineering – Prairies & North, you will guide strategy, performance, and regional service delivery. You will develop teams, strengthen client relationships, and expand capabilities across transportation, municipal, energy, mining, infrastructure, and industrial markets. The position connects technical leadership with commercial and operational accountability. Key Responsibilities:
Lead practice strategy, growth, performance, and technical excellence Execute regional business plans aligned with client needs Develop diverse teams and strengthen succession planning Manage financial performance, forecasting, resources, and risk Lead strategic pursuits and major contract negotiations Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, geological engineering, or related discipline Professional Engineer designation or eligibility in a Prairie or Northern jurisdiction 15+ years of progressive geotechnical consulting experience Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex project portfolios Strong technical, commercial, client, and business development capabilities Bring geotechnical expertise, strategic leadership, and team development experience to WSP’s growing regional practice across the Prairies and North.
