As a Senior Principal Mine Permitting professional, you will guide major mining projects from concept through operation and closure. You will strengthen WSP’s practice, advise clients through complex approvals, and collaborate across mining, water, environment, geotechnical, closure, and earth sciences. The work supports sustainable project development throughout Western Canada. Key Responsibilities:
Drive strategic growth across WSP’s British Columbia Mine Permitting practice Build relationships with mining companies, Indigenous Nations, and regulators Guide regulatory strategies for major mining projects Review permitting deliverables and oversee technical quality Mentor permitting professionals, specialists, and project managers Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental, engineering, or natural resources discipline 15+ years of progressive mining industry experience Extensive British Columbia mine permitting leadership experience Strong understanding of BC permitting, closure, and reclamation requirements Established sector network and demonstrated business development success Bring mine permitting leadership, regulatory expertise, and client development experience to WSP’s British Columbia practice.
