Your Impact

  • Produce equipment specifications, piping and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical data sheets, scoping documents, design notes, technical memoranda, and engineering justification reports.
  • Design and analyze mechanical components and assemblies by selecting materials, tolerances, and parameters aligned with applicable industrial codes and performance requirements.
  • Size pumps, fans, compressors, heat exchangers, and industrial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment to strengthen safety, efficiency, and long-term durability.
  • Resolve equipment failures and operational issues through root-cause analysis, field verification, equipment inspections, laser scans, three-dimensional models, and defensible engineering recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and computer-aided design and Revit professionals to integrate technical solutions into coordinated design packages.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Extensive mechanical engineering experience in industrial environments involving manufacturing lines, heavy equipment, process systems, utilities, or material handling.
  • Advanced capability with AutoCAD, Revit, finite-element analysis tools, mechanical simulation software, reliability platforms, or comparable engineering applications.
  • Deep knowledge of pumps, conveyors, blowers, pressure systems, mechanical drives, and rotating and static industrial equipment.
  • Strong command of CSA, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, and other applicable industrial codes and standards used to validate mechanical designs.
  • Expertise in asset integrity, maintenance engineering, failure modes, root-cause analysis, and lifecycle evaluation for operational facilities.
  • Ability to translate complex technical problems into structured calculations, design decisions, and engineering reports that withstand technical review.
  • Full professional proficiency in French and readiness to complete field verification, equipment assessments, and detailed walkthroughs in operating industrial environments.
