Lead mechanical engineering delivery at WSP, applying HVAC design and technical leadership to complex new-build and retrofit projects. Work spans multiple sectors. As a Lead Professional – Mechanical, you will own mechanical scope and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities. You will deliver HVAC, heating and cooling plant, and district energy solutions. The work includes client engagement, technical delivery, construction support, and mentoring without formal people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical projects from concept through completion
- Design HVAC and central heating and cooling plant systems
- Coordinate architectural, electrical, structural, and civil teams
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
- Respond to RFIs and resolve site-related technical issues
Requirements:
- Eight to twelve years of professional experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering
- Professional Engineer designation and Canadian licensure
- Experience designing mechanical building systems and HVAC
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Bring HVAC expertise, multidisciplinary coordination, and hands-on technical leadership to WSP mechanical engineering projects.
