As an Electrical Design Technologist, you will support WSP's Electrical Buildings team on technically complex building systems. You will develop designs, coordinate with engineers and technicians, and communicate with clients. The work includes power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and building infrastructure. You will also prepare project documentation and support construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems for diverse building types and locations
- Prepare power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm designs
- Develop models, drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Coordinate designs with engineers, technicians, and clients
- Support construction reviews and contract administration activities
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Four or more years consulting on buildings and infrastructure
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of construction practices and electrical building systems
- Ability to obtain PSPC Reliability clearance
