Lead piping design for complex energy infrastructure with WSP across Canadian offices in Alberta, Ontario, or British Columbia. Apply CADWorx, Plant 3D, and multidisciplinary coordination. As a Senior Piping Designer, you will guide work from conceptual engineering through detailed design and construction support. Your expertise will span piping layouts, 3D plant models, technical reviews, and design quality oversight. You will contribute across biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, fossil fuels, carbon capture, battery energy storage, and hydroelectric projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead piping design from concept through detailed engineering
- Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and isometrics
- Maintain 3D plant models using design software
- Mentor designers and provide technical quality oversight
- Coordinate piping interfaces across multidisciplinary project teams
Requirements:
- Diploma in engineering design, drafting, or related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive piping design experience
- Advanced experience with complex piping layouts
- Expertise using CADWorx, Plant 3D, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and drafting practices
