As a Business Development Representative, you will generate opportunities for battery remote operations and related services. You will engage owners, developers, and operators while learning energy management, power markets, and customer value. The role supports Workbench Energy's sales, operations, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research BESS prospects across the United States and target markets
- Generate outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry events
- Qualify prospects and schedule meetings for sales representatives
- Support discovery calls, preparation, notes, follow-up, and next steps
- Maintain accurate account, activity, and pipeline records
Requirements:
- One to three years of sales experience, ideally in energy
- Comfort with outbound prospecting and new contacts
- Exposure to battery storage, SCADA, or energy management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and persistent approach
