- Part-time 0.51 Educational Assistantposition
- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
- To provide support and assistance to diverse students in a grade 4-6 classroom setting
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Experience working with students with complex academic and behavioral needs
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience assisting students with complex needs, not limited to personal hygiene, toileting etc. would be considered an asset
- Experience assisting students with medical needs including diabetes would be considered an asset
- Calm and patient approach to working with students and solving problems
- Experience with complex behaviors would be considered an asset
- Collaborative team player with the ability to take initiative and support a dynamic learning environment
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- Knowledge, understanding and experience with ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioral needs would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented collaborative learning environment
- Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
