As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first voice many prospective clients hear from WiseMatic. You will research target companies, start conversations through email, phone and LinkedIn, and book qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This is an ideal role for an ambitious early-career professional who wants to grow into a full sales career in technology.
Responsibilities
- Research and build lists of target companies and decision-makers
- Run personalised outbound campaigns across email, phone and LinkedIn
- Qualify inbound leads from our website and events
- Book discovery meetings for Account Executives and keep CRM records accurate
- Test and improve messaging with marketing based on what resonates
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development or customer-facing roles (internships count)
- Strong written communication and a curious, persistent attitude
- Comfortable making calls and handling objections
- Organised, with good habits for CRM and follow-up
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred skills
- Interest in AI, software or digital marketing
- Experience with HubSpot, Apollo or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing or a related field
