Job Description Job Description Our client inspects, diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul and service mechanical and electrical components. Mechanics participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with co-workers, various Departmental Managers and the Fleet Manager. Location: Birchmount/Lawerence (Scarborough) Dayshift: 40 to 45 hours per week (overtime after 44 hours) Payrate to start: $42.00 per hour to $47.00 per hour Permanent SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of a Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities approved apprenticeship program – 310T or 310S license
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the trade
- Valid 'G' Driver's License with clean driver's abstract required; Class DZ or better considered an asset
- Physically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb a ladder.

- Drive train components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance
- Welding; electrical and gas
- Trailer repair
- Excavation equipment repairs
