Provide personal care as a Health Care Aide with Winnipeg Regional Health Authority in Winnipeg, working in person on evenings and weekends. Support clients' independence through safe, respectful daily care.
This clinical position serves WRHA Community Health Services at Access Downtown, within the P2 Point Douglas Team. Under supervision, you will assist clients with activities of daily living and changing needs. Care may occur in clients' homes, assisted living, health care centres, or hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living
- Provide direct care within established standards and procedures
- Support comfort, privacy, respect, health, and independence
- Organize and prioritize assigned workload
- Communicate with clients, families, and coworkers
Requirements:
- Recognized Health Care Aide course completion
- Minimum Grade 10 education under Manitoba standards
- Safe personal care skills for individual needs
- English communication skills, verbally and in writing
- Ability to work shifts and weekends
Use personal care, communication, and critical thinking skills while supporting independence across Winnipeg Regional Health Authority services.
