Our client, a large international manufacturer is seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager for an immediate engagement of 12 months. They are looking for someone who can negotiate supplier agreements across raw materials, technical services, and specialized equipment. This role will support a specific project requiring a tailored approach rather than routine buying.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end drafting, redlining, commercial negotiation, and sign-off of master supply agreements, statements of work, and project-specific terms for raw materials, manufactured components, and contracted services.
  • Analyze customer contracts to identify critical commercial liabilities - such as completion milestones, warranty obligations, acceptance criteria, performance liabilities, and liquidated damages and successfully incorporate them into vendor commitments.
  • Develop and maintain customer-to-supplier obligation matrices and obtain necessary business approvals for commercial mitigations prior to signing.
  • Formulate tactical negotiation positions and fallback terms addressing commercial risk, capacity allocations, payment milestones, intellectual property rights, and termination rights.
  • Assess vendor change proposals, delay notifications, and cost impacts, negotiating equitable change orders while protecting contractual timelines and claim positions.
  • Partner closely with project managers, sourcing specialists, engineering leads, and legal counsel to guarantee that negotiated terms reflect both operational realities and client requirements.

About You:

  • Extensive commercial contracting experience in heavy industrial sectors such as engineered equipment, EPC/oil & gas environments, mechanical contracting, or water treatment operations.
  • A background leading direct negotiations with suppliers of raw materials, fabrications, and specialized project services.
  • In-depth understanding of critical commercial clauses, including indemnification, liability caps, warranty frameworks, remedies for default, and formal change mechanisms.
  • High commercial independence; comfortable driving redlines and negotiating business terms directly while engaging in-house legal counsel for specialized legal parameters.
  • Available to onboard immediately to support expedited project delivery schedules.
