The Speech Pathologist supports Speech Therapy Corporate within Osler's Professional Practitioners program. This temporary 12 month position focuses on dysphagia management, communication assessment, patient education, and timely clinical documentation. The role reports to the Clinical Services Manager, Professional Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage dysphagia through clinical and instrumental methods
- Screen, assess, and manage communication needs
- Educate patients and families with clear accessible resources
- Relay assessment findings to patients, families, and teams
- Attend speech-language pathology meetings and education sessions
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registration in good standing with the Ontario College
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Computer literacy; Meditech experience is an asset
- Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
