Provide cardiology nursing care at William Osler Health System during full-time evening and night shifts across an inpatient unit. Apply ECG and rhythm interpretation skills.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will care for less complex patients with predictable outcomes in the Cardiology Unit. You will work within an inter-professional team while following Osler practices, College of Nurses standards, and legislation. Patient safety and family-centered care guide your practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care
- Follow infection prevention and control measures
- Recognize health changes and respond to emergencies
- Teach patients and families about discharge care
Requirements:
- Current Ontario registration in good standing
- Recent cardiology and acute medicine experience
- Coronary Care 1 and BCLS certification
- Recent twelve-lead ECG or rhythm interpretation experience
- Ability to pass required cardiology assessments
Support cardiology patients at Osler through safe nursing practice, clinical assessment, health teaching, and collaborative care.
