Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, the successful candidate will work a 14 & 14 rotation and be responsible for operating equipment and managing materials within their assigned work areas. The role involves performing a variety of duties that contribute to the underground mining cycle while adhering to safe work procedures and supporting production, operational, and safety targets.

About The Role
The Miner 2 position offers a competitive base hourly rate of $75.68, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $50.00 per hour through a production bonus program, for a total earning potential of $125.68 per hour. Miner 2 – (Bolter, Jumbo / MacLean) is responsible for supporting underground mine development through the safe and efficient operation of jumbo drills and MacLean bolting equipment. Working as part of the underground mining team, the incumbent performs drilling, ground support installation, workplace inspections, and hazard identification while contributing to the development mining cycle.
- Operate conventional bolting equipment to install ground support in underground development headings
- Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of conventional mining equipment and tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, survey layouts, and breakthrough notifications
- Measure, record and document workplace data as required
- Communicate work progress, equipment conditions, and workplace hazards to the Supervisor
- Complete equipment inspections, reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time
- Adhere to all safe work procedures, policies, and site safety standards
- Demonstrate a high level of skill and knowledge in conventional underground mine development
- Achieve production and performance targets while maintaining a strong commitment to safety
- Participate in workplace inspections, hazard identification, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of underground mining operations
