Wesdome, a Canadian gold producer, is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to support surface exploration efforts. This role involves managing drilling activities, ensuring data quality, and mentoring junior staff. You will work closely with the Exploration Manager on geological modeling and target generation to drive daily operations and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee execution of surface drill programs daily
- Coordinate core logging and sampling activities
- Supervise QA/QC protocols for high confidence datasets
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on exploration targets
- Enforce safety and compliance within drilling operations
Requirements:
- Degree in Geology or related field
- Minimum five years' experience in exploration
- P.Geo designation or eligibility
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
