WELL Health Technologies is an innovative technology-enabled healthcare company whose overarching objective is to positively impact health outcomes by leveraging technology to empower and support healthcare practitioners and their patients. WELL has built an innovative practitioner enablement platform that includes comprehensive end-to-end practice management tools inclusive of virtual care and digital patient engagement capabilities as well as Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and data protection services.

The opportunity: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, we are hiring a Head of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to build WELL Health’s procurement function from the ground up. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, establish practical policies and processes, and create a consolidated view of company-wide spend to identify, prioritize, and realize savings opportunities. Working closely with Finance and business leaders, you will lead competitive sourcing processes, negotiate supplier agreements, and establish approaches to vendor selection, contracting, and purchasing across areas such as technology, medical supplies, real estate and facilities, and consulting.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you will shape how procurement works across a growing, multi-site organization while delivering measurable financial value and supporting continued growth and the integration of acquisitions. This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role with occasional in-office work in Toronto or Vancouver. Exceptional candidates based elsewhere may also be considered.

Who you are: You bring procurement experience that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’re comfortable establishing new processes, working with senior leaders and operational teams, and finding practical ways to deliver measurable business results. You’re motivated by the opportunity to shape a developing function and make a tangible impact across a growing organization.

What's in it for you:

  • Build a procurement function from the ground up. You’ll establish WELL Health’s procurement strategy, shape practical processes, and create a centralized approach to sourcing and purchasing across the organization.
  • Deliver measurable business impact. Your sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations will help identify savings, improve purchasing decisions, and create financial value across a diverse, multi-site healthcare organization.
  • Work directly with executive leadership. Reporting to the COO, you’ll partner with senior leaders and teams across the business to identify opportunities, build alignment, and turn procurement improvements into action.

You will:

  • Build the procurement strategy. Develop a practical procurement strategy that establishes how WELL Health identifies sourcing opportunities, evaluates suppliers, and makes purchasing decisions. Create policies, processes, and guidelines that support consistent, effective procurement across the organization.
  • Analyze spend and identify savings. Build a consolidated view of company-wide spend to understand where money is being spent and where savings can be achieved. Assess opportunities across technology, medical supplies and consumables, real estate and facilities, consulting, and other categories, then quantify potential savings and prioritize where to focus.
  • Lead competitive sourcing and negotiations. Manage sourcing initiatives from opportunity identification through supplier selection and contract execution. Develop and run RFPs, establish evaluation criteria, and compare supplier proposals while negotiating agreements that deliver value, quality, and terms that meet business needs.
  • Establish procurement governance. Put practical policies, approval processes, and purchasing guidelines in place to support sound decision-making and appropriate oversight.
  • Strengthen supplier and contract management. Establish a clear view of supplier relationships and agreements, including contract terms, renewal dates, and opportunities to improve commercial arrangements.
  • Partner across the business and deliver results. Work closely with the COO, Finance, technology leaders, and operational teams to understand business priorities, build alignment, and turn sourcing opportunities into action.

In your first 90 days, build a consolidated view of company-wide spend, identify and prioritize savings opportunities, and work toward completing two to three end-to-end competitive sourcing processes.

Here's what you bring:

  • The procurement experience. You have experience developing procurement strategies, analyzing spend, identifying savings opportunities, and leading sourcing initiatives from start to finish.
  • The commercial skills. You’re confident leading supplier negotiations, evaluating proposals, managing contracts, and developing creative agreements that deliver value.
  • The analytical approach. You can bring spend data together, assess opportunities across categories, and quantify potential savings to help prioritize where procurement can have the greatest impact.
  • The relationship-building skills. You can work effectively with executive leaders, Finance, technology teams, and operational stakeholders to understand business needs, build alignment, and put procurement strategies into practice.
  • The builder’s mindset. You’re comfortable creating structure where processes may not yet exist.
