WME operates the Naval Engineering Test Establishment for the Department of National Defence. The candidate will design and implement high-availability OpenShift clusters in hybrid cloud environments.   • System Design: Produce architecture design reference diagrams/documentation in accordance with the group’s style using established templates;
  • Technical Execution: Conduct technical investigations and evaluations, produce configurations and implementation procedures for deployment on client production networks, develop methodical test plans and conduct test events;
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in internal and external review, coordination and progress meetings, and conduct review of technical work from your peers;
  • Safety-First Attitude: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud Service. Experience with hybrid/on-premise cloud services implementations is considered a strong asset;
  • Automation using Ansible, Powershell and Helm;
  • Linux and Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Fast learner, proactive, responsive, self-driven, excellent organizational skills, takes ownership and demonstrates pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can work autonomously;
  • Canadian citizenship, with 10 or more years residing in Canada with no periods longer than six continuous months out of country, is absolutely necessary as part of the requirements to obtain a government security clearance to the minimum level of Secret.
