This Team Lead oversees a pod of Fraud Investigators within the Security and Risk group. You will act as the final escalation point for complex bank indemnities, crypto traces, identity rings, and other ambiguous cases. The position combines people leadership, operational discipline, regulatory alignment, and investigative decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain daily fraud investigation operations and team performance Oversee queues while protecting quality and SLA compliance Review complex bank indemnity and crypto trace investigations Establish playbooks aligned with risk appetite and regulations Ensure flawless case documentation for client-facing teams Requirements:
Three-plus years of direct backend fraud investigations experience Hands-on experience with financial fraud or digital assets Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information Ability to identify behavioral anomalies in complex data Ability to explain fraud findings and business impact clearly Support Wealthsimple’s fraud defenses with operational leadership, quality control, and confident decisions on complex investigations.
