Lead fraud investigations at Wealthsimple, coaching investigators and resolving complex cases across account takeovers, payments, and digital assets. As Team Lead, you will manage a pod of Fraud Investigators within Wealthsimple’s Security and Risk group. You will guide daily operations, oversee complex queues, and protect investigative quality while meeting case-closure SLAs. Your work will connect fraud detection, coaching, documentation, and cross-functional defense improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations for a pod of Fraud Investigators
- Conduct one-on-ones, side-by-sides, and investigative coaching
- Oversee complex fraud queues and case-closure SLAs
- Escalate and resolve ambiguous or high-dollar investigations
- Lead calibration sessions and document emerging fraud typologies
Requirements:
- Three-plus years of hands-on backend fraud investigations experience
- Experience with banking, payments, account takeovers, or digital assets
- Proven mentoring, coaching, or peer leadership experience
- Deep understanding of fraud typologies and financial ledgers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Bring decisive leadership, fraud expertise, and strong investigative judgment to Wealthsimple’s Fraud Investigations team.
