Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate sheet metal crews on commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
- Plan, schedule, and assign daily work activities to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide installations.
- Ensure proper installation of ductwork, fittings, hangers, and related sheet metal systems.
- Monitor job progress, productivity, and material usage; provide daily/weekly reporting as required.
- Maintain safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture on-site.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and journeypersons.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve site issues.
- Perform quality checks and troubleshoot any deficiencies in the installation.
Qualifications
- Licensed Sheet Metal Worker (Journeyperson) with several years of experience in the trade.
- Minimum 2–3 years of foreman or supervisory experience in mechanical construction.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, duct fabrication, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage crews, schedules, and material effectively.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
