The Human Resources Generalist supports HR functions across labour relations, talent acquisition, employee relations, and training and development. The position maintains Collective Agreement compliance, provides practical guidance, and manages multiple priorities. UKG, payroll coordination, and workplace investigations are also part of the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Collective Agreement understanding and compliance across HR practices
- Coordinate grievances, overtime canvassing, shutdown planning, and employee bumping
- Guide managers through performance, discipline, harassment, and compliance concerns
- Administer union benefits, payroll adjustments, and UKG processes
- Support recruitment, investigations, staffing agencies, and HR projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, labour relations, or related field
- Three years of human resources experience
- Unionized environment experience considered an asset
- Strong communication, record keeping, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- MS Office and related HR software capability
