The position assesses resident needs, organizes care plans, supervises attendants, and supports families.
It also coordinates direct care, treatments, emergency responses, and quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess resident needs and organize plans promoting maximum independence
- Distribute medications and provide treatments under approved standards
- Supervise attendants and provide guidance to general duty staff
- Maintain nursing records, reports, and resident care documentation
- Respond to emergencies and report changes in resident status
Requirements
- Recognized RPN license in good standing with Ontario's College of Nurses
- Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel
