The Director of Building Services provides leadership across maintenance, building systems, housekeeping, and laundry. This position maintains safe, clean, well-presented environments while supporting resident well-being and team member experience. The role manages vendors, budgets, preventative maintenance, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities. Key Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems Maintain preventative maintenance and asset management programs Manage departmental budgets, inventory, schedules, and staffing Coordinate audits, emergency preparedness, and infection control documentation Requirements:
Building Operators Certificate or recognized Ontario skilled trade Minimum five years’ facilities, hospitality, or senior living management Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, TSSA, and public health requirements Knowledge of modern building systems and life safety infrastructure Strong leadership, organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills Apply facilities leadership, preventative maintenance, and resident-focused service expertise as Director of Building Services at The Shores.
