Technology Strategy and Risk Consultant in Markham

Guide client leaders through technology risk, governance, and modernization decisions as a Virtual Chief Information Officer. Translate complex issues into practical business recommendations. You will advise business owners, finance leaders, executives, and compliance stakeholders across a portfolio of clients. The work combines technology strategy, cybersecurity, data protection, business continuity, and governance. You will also coordinate with Venture’s technical and governance teams to turn findings into improvement plans. Key Responsibilities:

Understand client growth plans, operations, and risk tolerance Prioritize cybersecurity, data protection, and continuity risks Advise on policies, data governance, vendor risk, and AI Support audits, regulatory expectations, and cyber insurance planning Elevate delays and unresolved risks to client leadership Requirements:

Five or more years in IT management or advisory work Client relationship management and executive presentation experience Knowledge of identity management, infrastructure, and business continuity Ability to manage multiple clients with reliable follow-through Relevant security, governance, or project certifications are assets Use risk-based recommendations, governance knowledge, and executive communication to help clients make informed technology decisions.
