Produce diagnostic radiographs at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria using computerized imaging systems and radiation safety practices. This regular part-time position follows a rotating schedule.
As a Radiological Technologist with Island Health, you will perform assigned diagnostic radiography procedures. You may work independently or with radiologists and other physicians. The position emphasizes patient, staff, and public safety, accurate documentation, and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce assigned diagnostic radiographs in a computerized environment
- Carry out diagnostic procedures independently when appropriate
- Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians during procedures
- Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients and staff
- Complete required documentation and administrative tasks
Requirements:
- CAMRT certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist
- Graduation from an approved radiology technology program
- Eligibility for CAMRT membership
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
