Operate MRI acquisition equipment at Victoria General Hospital while delivering client-centered care across multiple Island Health sites as scheduled. Patient safety remains central.
Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures within a multidisciplinary health care team. The position includes requisitions, supplies, patient monitoring, image archiving, and computerized patient data systems. This is a casual, multi-site assignment with rotating days off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures
- Receive and complete requisitions, forms, and reports
- Prepare and monitor supplies and equipment
- Monitor patients during MRI procedures
- Operate acquisition equipment and archive acquired images
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Magnetic Resonance program
- Hold CAMRT certified Technologist in Magnetic Resonance designation
- Three years recent related experience, including two years MRI experience
- Demonstrate image quality assessment and quality control knowledge
- Operate PACS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and specialized software
