Perform MRI procedures at Victoria General Hospital using acquisition equipment, patient monitoring, and computerized imaging systems. This temporary full-time assignment serves multiple sites.
Reporting to the MRI supervisor or designate, the MRI Technologist provides client-centered care within a multidisciplinary health care team. The position involves requisitions, supplies, image archiving, patient data systems, and quality and safety practices. Work occurs according to schedule, with rotating days off and possible travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures
- Receive and complete requisitions, forms, and reports
- Prepare and monitor MRI supplies and equipment
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures
- Operate acquisition equipment and archive acquired images
Requirements:
- Accredited Magnetic Resonance program graduation
- CAMRT certified Technologist in Magnetic Resonance designation
- Three years recent related experience, including two years acute MRI experience
- Knowledge of image quality assessment, radiation safety, and quality control
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PACS, and specialized systems
