Lead capital construction procurement strategy at VCC, combining contract negotiation and supplier relationship management with cross-functional project coordination. Reporting to the Director, Procurement, this Manager oversees procurement for construction and capital projects. The role develops strategies, manages sourcing activities, and supports timely delivery within budget. As part of the Procurement leadership team, the Manager also contributes to policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee capital and construction procurement projects and deliverables
- Develop procurement plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Lead RFx tendering, evaluations, awards, and debriefings
- Negotiate contracts and resolve procurement disputes
- Maintain supplier, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field
- Five years’ procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience
- Capital projects and construction procurement experience
- Understanding of contracts, procurement practices, and supply chain principles
- Strong negotiation, analytical, risk assessment, and communication skills
