Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a passionate Recovery Advocate to join its Specialized Substance Use Engage Team. This role is designed for individuals with a commitment to advocating for clients and providing essential group recovery sessions. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advocacy and recovery support tailored to client needs
- Organize and facilitate community outreach activities
- Assist in compiling statistics and preparing project reports
- Participate in team planning and operational initiatives
- Coordinate educational sessions and recreational support
Requirements:
- Diploma in Community Social Services and two years' experience
- Personal experience with substance use recovery preferred
- Valid BC Driver's License for travel as needed
- Knowledge of health concerns in the designated community
- Ability to connect with diverse community and service providers
