This full-time locum position involves vital healthcare responsibilities in a scenic island setting.
As a locum Family Physician, you will deliver emergency and primary care services to residents while working approximately 48 hours a week.
Located in a community of the Heiltsuk Nation, the role includes direct patient care in both the clinic and emergency settings, supported by a robust healthcare team.
Emergency experience and valid certifications are necessary for this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical interventions as needed
- Offer routine health care services to residents
- Participate actively in the hospital's call schedule
- Ensure quality assessments and treatments in various settings
- Support the delivery of acute and inpatient care
Requirements
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications needed
- Full College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC License
- Emergency care experience highly valued
- CCFP designation is an asset
- NRP certification preferred
