Lead national loan syndications at Vancity, applying deal structuring and commercial judgment through a hybrid arrangement. Work from Vancity Head Office or Toronto Head Office. As Director, Loan Syndications, you will support commercial lending growth across Canada through VCIB and within British Columbia through Vancity Credit Union. You will originate business, structure complex syndicated transactions, oversee underwriting, negotiate terms, and drive successful closing. The position reports to the Head, VCIB, Syndications & CRE, while supporting strategic partner and client relationships. Your market expertise will strengthen the origination pipeline and Vancity’s market presence. Key Responsibilities:
Lead structuring and negotiation of complex, high-value syndicated transactions Oversee credit approvals and coordinate pricing through financial close Build relationships with lending partners, clients, and external stakeholders Develop processes supporting consistent client-focused transaction delivery Ensure regulatory, internal control, and compliance requirements are followed Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of loan syndications and commercial lending Experience with deal structuring, underwriting, and credit approvals Demonstrated business origination and strategic relationship-building experience Strong judgment negotiating complex, high-value transactions Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders Direct national syndications strategy at Vancity using commercial lending, underwriting, negotiation, and relationship leadership expertise.
