ValPay builds embedded payments for software companies. Our PayFac-as-a-Service model lets ISVs offer payments to their merchants under their own brand, while we handle underwriting, compliance, and risk. Our partners serve healthcare, legal, hospitality, professional services, and other vertical markets.
Launching a payments product is the easy part. The value is created when ISV partners go live, their merchants enroll, and transactions flow. We’re hiring a product marketing Lead whose success is measured by adoption: how quickly and how deeply partners and merchants use our products.
What we value
- Sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Measuring success by what customers do, not by what we shipped.
- Taking responsibility and finishing work without being chased.
- Understanding how the business makes money and caring about results.
- The honesty to say when something isn’t working, including your own work.
What you’ll do
- Drive partner and merchant adoption: You’ll own the adoption journey end to end: signature, integration, go-live, first transaction, merchant enrollment, and expansion. The hardest gap is between “integrated” and “actively transacting,” and you’ll be the person who finds out where partners and merchants stall and designs programs to close it.
- Measure adoption and act on it: You’ll build and maintain the adoption dashboard: activation rate, time to first transaction, attach and penetration rate, volume per merchant, feature adoption, and cohort retention.
- Own positioning and messaging: You’ll develop the positioning, value propositions, and messaging for each product and vertical, and for new verticals and markets as we enter them.
- Run launches built around activation: You’ll lead launch plans for new products, features, verticals, and regions.
- Equip sales, partnerships, and support: You’ll create the sales playbooks, pitch decks, battlecards, case studies, ROI calculators, and objection-handling guides that sales and partnership teams use.
- Represent the market inside the company: You’ll track competitors, pricing, interchange, and regulatory developments, and be the voice of the market and of adoption data in product planning.
What you’ll bring
- At least 3 years of experience in product marketing at a B2B software, fintech, or payments company.
- A track record of running launches and measuring them on adoption or usage, not only on awareness.
- Experience marketing to two audiences at once, such as partners and their customers, or platforms and their users.
- Working knowledge of how card payments work, or the ability to learn it quickly and explain it accurately.
- Comfort with data.
- Strong writing.
- Experience building sales enablement that teams actually used.
- You can take a loosely defined goal, set your own plan, and finish it.
- You use AI tools every day for research, drafting, and analysis, and you check what they produce.
Useful experience
- Embedded payments, PayFac, or ISV channel experience.
- Lifecycle or onboarding marketing in a partner-led business.
- Marketing in healthcare, legal, hospitality, or professional services software.
- Launching products in Europe or APAC.
- Running win/loss or churn analysis programs.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, a BI tool, or marketing automation.
- Portfolio or integration messaging after an acquisition.
Who will enjoy this role
You notice when a partner has been live for two months and only a handful of their merchants have enrolled, and you want to know why.
The scope is wide for one person, and adoption is a harder target than launch coverage. You’ll be judged on numbers you influence but don’t fully control, which means working through partners, product, and sales to move them. Priorities will shift with the roadmap and with acquisitions.
Why this role matters
ValPay is building products and features for software partners across several verticals and regions. That work has limited impact unless partners and merchants know about it, understand it, and use it.
You’ll work directly with the CEO to decide how our products are positioned and how each launch turns into transactions. Your work affects how quickly partners go live, how many of their merchants enroll, and how much volume flows through the platform.
