We are seeking an exceptional mid to senior level Corporate Associate to join their national team of experts. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a collegial group and refine your skills across a diverse range of corporate transactions. The successful candidate will primarily focus on securities and corporate law, with an emphasis on:
- Public and private mergers and acquisitions
- Shareholder activism
- Private equity transactions
- Corporate finance
- Corporate governance
- Strategic transactions such as joint ventures, partnerships, and significant investments

Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of post-call experience (2021 - 2019 call) in Canadian and/or cross-border corporate matters, particularly in the private equity and public markets sectors from a national law firm or highly reputable regional firm.
- Proficient in M&A, corporate reorganizations, and corporate governance.
- Experience collaborating with corporations, investment banks, and financial institutions on negotiated and contested mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, independent committee engagements, and defense preparations.
- Knowledgeable in corporate governance issues, disclosure matters, equity and debt trading strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong technical legal expertise, excellent business acumen, and outstanding analytical and drafting abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in various team environments.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple time-sensitive priorities.
- Excellent academic credentials and a solid employment history.
- Qualified to practice law in Canada.
