Support exceptional-needs programming as an Intensive Support Teacher at the Brockville Board Office, applying Special Education expertise across schools. Travel and virtual facilitation are required.
Reporting to the Principal and Vice Principal of Special Education, this long-term occasional position builds staff capacity. You will support Ministry initiatives, interventions, assessment, and evaluation for students with exceptional needs. The work includes PPM 140/156, PPM 8, I.E.P.s, I.P.R.C. and SEA processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and track Ministry initiatives under PPM 140/156
- Support schools implementing PPM 8 for learning disabilities
- Enhance programming through staff, parent, and service-provider collaboration
- Facilitate community agency relationships and student transitions
- Deliver professional learning and assessment supports across schools
Requirements:
- Ontario Teacher's Certificate of Qualification
- Special Education Part 1 qualification
- Qualifications in two divisions; three preferred
- Minimum five years teaching experience
- Ontario College of Teachers membership in good standing
