Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Operations, the specialist advises internal departments, faculties, administration, and end-users. The approximately six-month assignment handles salary transfers, payment processing, position management, and information requests. You will help ensure university policies and procedures are understood and followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process retroactive salary transfers, reconciliations, payments, and journal entries
- Prioritize ticket requests and complete them within required timelines
- Provide advice about policies, procedures, and financial systems
- Communicate deadlines, requirements, and training to clients
- Maintain productive relationships with auditors and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, BComm, Finance, or BMgt
- Three to five years' financial operations experience in large organizations
- Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Proficiency with Excel, PeopleSoft, data warehousing, and query tools
- Strong organization, judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
