This Associate Recruiter Admissions Advisor assesses applicants across Canadian and international curricula for programs on UBC's Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. You will integrate academic records, personal profiles, school context, and intended study areas when determining admissibility. The position also resolves sensitive cases, supports appeals, and provides recruitment advising to prospective students and counsellors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive academic and non-academic applicant assessments
- Apply Senate-mandated admission policies and principles of practice
- Analyze Canadian and international documents for transfer credit
- Resolve complex admissibility concerns with senior staff
- Support denied applicants through alternate pathway planning
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline preferred
- One to two years of relevant experience preferred
- Research, analytical, judgment, and interpersonal abilities
- Accurate, responsive, inclusive, and respectful customer service
- Ability to work independently under university deadlines
