As a Personal Support Worker at UHN, you will be part of an inter-professional care team focused on patient well-being. Your role involves assisting patients with feeding, bathing, and hygiene while ensuring safety and maintaining records. This position is temporary, full-time, and plays a critical role in enhancing patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing and feeding
- Perform delegated tasks under RN or RPN supervision
- Communicate with patients according to their care plans
- Report unsafe conditions and patient changes to healthcare providers
- Maintain patient records as per hospital policies
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited PSW program
- Current registration with HSCPOA
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Experience in acute care or rehabilitation is an asset
- Ability to perform daily physical tasks
