UHN is seeking a Merchandising Technician for its Outpatient Pharmacy department.
Working under the Operations Manager and Operations Coordinator, you will order, receive, price, and merchandise prescription and non-prescription items.
The position also supports technical pharmacy functions, promotions, returns, invoice reconciliation, and compression stocking sales.
Communication with Pharmacy personnel and cross-functional duties are included.
Key Responsibilities
- Order, receive, and price pharmacy merchandise for multiple sites
- Perform merchandising and cashier functions
- Organize promotions and coordinate stale-dated product returns
- Package prescription deliveries and reconcile invoices
- Fit compression stockings and coordinate related sales
Requirements
- Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
- One year related merchandising experience, preferably healthcare
- Very good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, practices, and regulations
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills are an asset
